AI agents for business: which tasks they handle and how to set one up

Glowing glass nodes linked by lines of light above a desk with floating report cards

An AI agent for business is not a chat window that answers questions. It is a worker that collects competitor prices, sorts incoming requests, builds a weekly report and sends the result while you focus on customers. This article covers the tasks an agent handles well today, what to keep for people, and how to launch your own AI employee on NeuralSpace with daily billing and no subscription.

Tasks an agent handles well

Hand over work that repeats, relies on files or websites, and does not require a decision made on your behalf:

  • First-line support. The agent answers common questions from your knowledge base, such as delivery times and return rules, and passes complex cases to a person with a short summary.
  • Data collection. Once a week it checks competitor pages, compares prices and stock, and saves the table to a shared folder.
  • Reports. It reads an export from a spreadsheet or CRM, calculates conversion by channel and compares it with last week. The output is a short summary with conclusions, not raw numbers.
  • Routine work. It sorts requests, drafts replies for approval, and checks that the site and forms still open.

What to keep for people

Money, agreements, and anything that reaches a customer without review should stay with a person at the start. The agent writes convincing text, but a fact inside it can be wrong. A simple rule works: the agent prepares, a human approves. Refunds and customer emails go out only after confirmation.

Access is the second risk. Do not give the agent your bank password or the director's main mailbox. Create a separate account with limited rights and let it work on copies of data for the first weeks.

Start with one process, not the whole company

The most common mistake is a task like "automate sales". Nobody can check or measure that. Pick one process that takes a noticeable amount of an employee's time every week and describe it in five lines: the input, the action, the output, who reviews it, and what counts as an error.

How to launch your AI employee on NeuralSpace

  1. Open the AI agent page and enter a name for the agent.
  2. Choose a server with at least 4 GB of memory. The entry tier is usually enough for messages, spreadsheets and files.
  3. If you want to work from Telegram, paste a bot token from @BotFather.
  4. Decide whether image and video generation is allowed. Reports and messages do not need it, and you can turn it off.

After launch the agent works in the chat and, if connected, in Telegram. Billing is daily and there is no subscription. New users receive starting tokens, and after that only what is actually used is charged. There are no free generations on the site, so calculate the budget for your task before you start.

Limits

  • Long chains without review: a mistake at step two produces a neat but wrong report.
  • Sites with captchas or live logins: the agent can get stuck and return an empty result.
  • Video: over the 90 days from 6 July to 4 October 2026, 79.7% of kling-3.0 video generations succeeded (298 of 374), against 92.2% for gpt-image-2 images (3,244 of 3,518). Source: internal platform aggregates, no user data.

FAQ

How is an AI agent different from a chatbot on a website?

A chatbot answers inside a dialogue window. An agent receives a task and carries out the steps itself: it opens pages, reads files, builds a table and returns the result. It can also run on a schedule when nobody is writing to it.

Can the agent answer customers without review?

Not at the start. Begin with drafts that a person approves, then widen its autonomy for request types where it has made no mistakes.

Do I need programming skills?

No. You describe the task in plain language in the chat or in Telegram. Programming is only needed if you want to connect your own services through the API.
